The Elizabeth G anchored off Ormsaigbeg shortly after nine this morning, accompanied by a RIB. They were steadily joined....
....by yachts of different sizes, some motoring in the calm conditions - which were a considerable contrast to yesterday, when we had half a gale and 19mm of rain.
We assumed they were gathering for a race but, having....
....hung around for ages, presumably waiting for some wind to appear, they gave up around midday, many of them motoring towards the northern entrance to the Sound of Mull, others heading off south down the Sound.
It's West Highland Yachting week. They've had some good sailing, but today was a bit of a washout.
