Yesterday's weather was a mixture of sunshine and showers spurred on by a brisk breeze which gusted to force six across the open waters of the Sound of Mull; and it rained, some 10mm coming in the form of liquid and solid sunshine (hail). Picture shows CalMac's
Loch Linnhe approaching Mingary Pier in Kilchoan. This is not a ship designed for rough weather, but the boys on this run are renowned for not letting a bit of weather get in the way of their job.
Kilchoan Early Bird took this picture of the
Dawn Treader, a Tobermory creel boat, leaving the same pier after unloading her catch. She's a well-found boat with a rugged crew, but she looks as if she almost swamped.
Many thanks to Kilchoan Early Bird for the picture.
This is cool!
