Twice this afternoon the skies have darkened and thick storm clouds have moved in from the northeast....
....bringing thunder and lightning, and heavy rain for a few minutes. Then the skies have cleared, giving way to the sort of warm, sultry conditions the dreaded Highland midge adores.
