Events surrounding the yacht rescue off Tiree yesterday become more interesting by the minute. Latest reports - see BBC
here - state that the lone crew man on the 40ft yacht, a Russian, who was rescued by Coastguard helicopter, has now been arrested and detained by police over an international arrest warrant, and is due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court.
It may be coincidence, but this yacht passed us heading south down the Sound of Mull at one o'clock this afternoon. Yachts aren't too common in the Sound at this time of year.
Many thanks to Alasdair Thornton for drawing my attention to the arrest.
