Rescue Underway off Tiree

Two RNLI lifeboats, a Coastguard SAR helicopter, and the Bahamas registered pipe laying ship Deep Energy are currently involved in the rescue of the crew member of a 40ft yacht in the waters to the north of Tiree - news reports here and here. The lifeboats and helicopter are currently returning to base. Apparently the yacht hits rocks near the Skerryvore lighthouse during the night.

Winds here on Ardnamurchan are southerly, gale force with gusts to force 9.
