At the moment, Ormsaigbeg is getting the full force of the early part of this storm, with a southeasterly gale coming straight in along the shore.
Considering that these breakers are being formed by the wind blowing across a relatively short stretch of water, they're fairly impressive....
....particularly where they strike straight on to a rock.
Forecast remains dire: gale until 3pm, then strong gale through until nine this evening as it goes round into the southwest, after which it drops back to gale. Never mind, by tomorrow, we'll be sunshine and enjoying light breezes.
