As winter tightens its grip, and the amount of human activity drops off, so the wildlife closes in on us. Sea eagles fly along the coast of Ormsaigbeg, and a young fox seen on the Ormsaigbeg crofts is taking chickens. A trail camera set up at the back of our garden has a momentary view of an otter moving along the path beyond the fence, presumably travelling from one of the burns that runs down the brae to another.
Jon, your mention of a young Fox in Ormsaigbeg probably explains the disapearance of 2 dead mice from the back door of Cruachan a couple of weeks back, complete with the mousetrap we caught them with! Alasdair Thornton
