Harassment

The eagles we see soaring over West Ardnamurchan don't have a peaceful life.  We spotted this one over Beinn Buidhe yesterday afternoon.  It looks as if it's a sea eagle, perhaps a bit moth-eaten from an annual moult - the Raptor will put us right on this.

He didn't last long, even though he was very high.  A crow, or perhaps it's a raven, started harassing him, and kept at it until the eagle flew away in the direction of Ben Hiant.  But seeing the crow, which isn't a small bird, up there next to the eagle gave us a sense of the huge size of the bird.
