First Gale of Winter

Many thanks to Kilchoan Early Bird for this picture of Ardnamurchan Point lighthouse taken this morning in what could count as the first gale of the winter - and it's mid-August!  The wind is in the northwest, and the temperature has dropped drastically - at midday today it was struggling to reach 15C, and feeling much colder with the wind-chill.

We've just come in from walking along the Ormsaigbeg road and, what with being blown around by the wind and pelted with rain, it was just like winter.  Not to worry, the forecast for tomorrow is for  a cold north-northwester but some sunshine.
