AuroraWatch sent out a text just after 4.00am alerting us to some minor geomagnetic activity. A clear sky to the north showed some colour and an expedition to Sanna to see what was happening was under active consideration (from back under the duvet) when a bank of cloud came across and dumped more hail on us.
We woke to snow on more of the hills around us. Looking down the Sound, Ben Talla was covered, and....
....after breakfast, when Ben Hiant finally emerged from cloud, it had its first whitecap of the year. As can be seen from the plume, the wind has shifted into the north, and Yr.No, which hasn't been very accurate over the last few days, is promising us some sun later in the day.
