The Inaugural Kilchoan Half Marathon: Results

Ten runners set off for the inaugural Kilchoan Half Marathon, surely running the most scenic of all courses, starting at the Kilchoan House Hotel and heading to the lighthouse and back to the hotel. Conditions were perfect, cool and overcast and not too windy. Great views were on offer and hills aplenty to test the legs.

As advertised there were no prizes but the pace was full on. Justin Cameron took first place leading comfortably for most of the race. Geoff Campbell took second place and Melissa Glackin third place and fastest female. Thanks to all who took part and look forward to seeing you and more next year - provisional date, Friday 30th May 2014.

Official race results as follows:

Justin Cameron, fast, very fast (what was in your water bottle?).
Geoff Campbell, good for his age
Melissa Glackin, first lady, fast lady
Andy Suttergood and Daniel Brennan, how hard can a half marathon be – now you know.
Lauren and Katie Gane, fastest twins in Ardnamurchan
Richard Perry, it’s a long way from Sevenoaks
Sandra Campbell, over-50. Respect.
Mark Carlisle, walked it (he really did walk it)

Many thanks to Geoffrey Campbell for the report
