Many thanks to Tony Kidd for sending in these pictures of another emperor moth. They've now been reported from Kilchoan, Kilmory and Ormsaigbeg - or maybe it's the same one doing some long-distance travelling.
The Diary is prepared to identify this, again, as a female. If there are three females, one does hope that there's a male somewhere. Since we have never seen one of these magnificent beasts, perhaps he would be so kind as to call on us.
