The Storm Before the Calm

Yesterday morning, southeasterly winds were gusting to gale force across the Sound of Mull. By this morning the Sound was almost dead calm with a grey overcast, and smaller ships, such as the Majestic Line's Glen Etive, were going about their business again.

By lunchtime the sun was shining out of a gloriously clear blue sky, and the butterflies were on the escallonia - this red admiral, a peacock and a couple of whites.

What a difference!
