This started as a southerly, backed into the southeast, and is now going round towards the southwest. It's the first real storm of the oncoming winter, not particularly severe here but enough for CalMac to cancel the 8.00am sailing of the Tobermory ferry. It has also been quite prolonged, working itself up from mid-afternoon yesterday and forecast to moderate around lunchtime today - and a dry storm so far, with only 8mm of rain overnight.
