House for Sale in Achnaha

A house has just come up for sale in Achnaha. 'Cnoc na Sith' has two bedrooms, great views, and is, according to the agent, "Set in the most stunning and remote location on the North-West coast of the Ardnamurchan Peninsula".  Achnaha is also a hub of local industry, an historic crofting township, and within walking distance of the beaches at Sanna.

Inviting offers in the region of £98,000, there are full details at the agent's site, here.

  1. Is it customary for the Diary to give free advertising?

  2. Yes. Hotels, B&Bs and other businesses, houses for sale, the Learning Centre, events such as the Regatta - all get free advertising. If you want me to feature something, ask. The email address is in the right-hand column. Jon

  3. Do we know if this is still available? And whether it is still occupied?

  4. Hi Jon, my partner and I have enjoyed reading some of your blogs and seeing pics of the region. We are relocating from Africa to Scotland, and looking forward to coming up to view this house if it's still on the market in September. Can you tell me what Cnoc na Sith means?

  5. Hi. That's a bit of a change you're facing! Cnoc is a round hill or knoll, Sith is more difficult but is likely to mean peace or tranquility. Both words are Gaelic. So 'knoll of tranquility'. As far as I know, the house is still on the market. Jon
