Last night the temperature dipped below 1C, very unusual for Ormsaigbeg, and this morning's heavy cloud concealed what had happened during the night....
....for snow had fallen to much lower levels, including along the road at the back of the ben, and continued to accumulate on the tops throughout the day.
It's miserable weather for small birds - this blue tit continued to feed through a sleety deluge during the lunch hour, when light levels dropped to those of a winter's evening.
Nice to see the changing seasons and always interesting to see your variety of bird feeders.
