To my knowledge, there are two other war graves on western Ardnamurchan, and they are in the walled cemetery at Kilmory.
Both the men buried there are merchant seamen whose bodies were washed up on Ardnamurchan's beaches in 1940, one in the August and one in the December.
Unlike servicemen and women, merchant sailors didn't wear a 'dog tag', so their identities, as the War Commission's gravestone so beautifully puts it, is "Known unto God". But, as the poppies demonstrate, they are not forgotten.
