Saga Sapphire Fire

The Saga Sapphire, pictured here passing us at 9.30 this morning, is reported to have suffered a fire aboard and has a lost all electrical power.  She is currently anchored in the Sound of Mull off Tobermory.  Reports suggest that the fire, which was in the main fuse boxes, has been brought under control, but that all lighting on the ship is currently being supplied by her emergency generators.

The ship issued a "pan pan", a warning that she is in trouble but less than a "mayday", about an hour ago.  She's likely to be anchored for a few hours yet while repairs are carried out, but emergency services may, at some point, have to evacuate the ship.
