Another Oystercatcher Nest

Oystercatchers do lay their eggs in daft places. This one was in a crack in the rock, with no cushioning except a few strands of seaweed....

....on a rock outcrop which protrudes into the Sound of Mull.

Not surprisingly, it looked as if the 'nest' had been deserted by the parents.
