Winter Weather's Problems

The uncertain weather has continued. Last night the winter showers turned to rain, a total of 12mm precipitation falling in the last 24 hours, so most of the snow and sleet that accumulated in the village has melted. Shortly after 10.00pm there was another terrific lightning strike and the power went for about five minutes, but when it came back on our router had died. We've now lost a telephone and a router, and BT have still not mended our telephone line. At present we can make outgoing calls - sometimes - and the internet works if we can get a dialling tone - then, just as we're doing something important like ordering an overdue Christmas present, it goes down. We can't receive incoming calls though the BT answering service still works - sometimes.

The Diary is looking forward to summer.

    Hi Jon,
Do you have any means of recording tomorrows expected wind speed.
Please keep us posted on the weather tomorrow in Ardnamurchan.
    Thanks, regards,
    Juliet and George.

  2. My anemometer just died so have no means of recording wind speeds until I get a new one - sorry. But will watch the weather and see if anything spectacular happens.
