We're in for a proper gale according to the weather forecast: 80mph winds and heavy rain during this afternoon, then the wind going round into the NW and snow to follow, with heavier snow forecast for tomorrow. Schools have been closed across west and central Scotland, and everybody advised not to travel unless absolutely necessary.We had over 20mm of rain yesterday to add to the oceanfuls we've enjoyed over the last few days, so the place is already saturated.
