Can you imagine doing this on the northbound carriageway of the M6? Or the westbound M8? Somehow, the motorists here have slowed down, to match the pace of life.
Mind you, the Diary wouldn't be seen being as energetic as this: it prefers to leave such things to the younger generation.
Should that chap not be carrying his red flag to warn of the approaching new-fangled metallic beastie? Does the Locomotive Act of 1865 mean nothing to you people?
ReplyDeleteActually the Regents Canal in Notting Hill is pretty traffic free most of the time. It's an old friend that shouldn't be cast aside just because these two posers have found a quiet country road with fresh air. I want to know how long they had been running before this was taken... and how long they carried on running afterwards.

Pete compared to your standards definitely not long enough! The canal is traffic-free to be fair - however the smells from the canning factory were definitely not missed.
ReplyDeletePete, this could be construed as sour grapes! Time you came to Kilchoan, I think, to test the air for yourself. You would be very welcome and give these two a run for their money. More midges than in London.
