East to West Cycle Ride Success!

They made it! Picture shows Tom and Lizzie Miller arriving early yesterday evening at Kilchoan Pier having cycled up the east side of Mull, and with only six miles to go out of the 650 from Lowestoft to their destination at the most westerly point of the British mainland.

Lizzie and Tom would like to extend their thanks to the members of the Kilchoan community who turned out to cheer them on as they passed through the village. This picture was taken by the Raptor as they rode along Pier Road.

Almost exactly 25 minutes later they were at Ardnamurchan Point lighthouse with glasses of champagne in their hands toasting their achievement - and Ardnamurchan turned on the sunshine to greet them. In fact they only had one small shower of rain during the whole week's riding - in Lincolnshire - and they're returning home on tonight's Fort William to Euston sleeper with a Scottish suntan.

Congratulations to Lizzie and Tom, who wish to extend heartfelt thanks to the many who have contributed to the £4,000+ they've already raised for the Teenage Cancer Trust, both through their JustGiving site and by cash donation. Special thanks to the many others who have been so kind and encouraging upon the way, and to Jim for transporting them to the Fort this evening.
