A Summer Weekend in Store

I love Cameron Beccario's website, here, which shows the surface wind speeds in an easy-to-interpret way, so I make a point of looking at it every morning as a way of seeing what's in store for us.

Here is this evening's Atlantic picture with a nasty little depression heading towards the UK, which....

....is due to arrive on Sunday, bringing weather which is more like a winter's than an August day. This image is taken from the XC Weather site, here.

    Huuu... that's summer in Scotland? Even for someone living in northern Germany and used to stormy rainy and cold weather it doens't sound to much inviting.
    Hope summer will be be back at the end of the month when we'll be in Achosnich
