Lizzie and Tom Miller aim to complete their 640-mile, one-week cycle ride from Lowestoft to Ardnamurchan Point early this evening, crossing from Tobermory to Kilchoan on the 6.00pm ferry and reaching Britain's most westerly point around 7.00pm this evening.
Lizzie writes, "This is the last big push. Fifty miles to reach Oban and the 2.00pm deadline for the Craignure ferry. Then up the east side of Mull to join a road we have cycled before when we did the Kilchoan-Tobermory-Fishnish-Lochaline-Strontian circuit. We hope then to catch the 6.00pm ferry at Tobermory to Kilchoan, then finish the last six miles to Ardnamurchan lighthouse on the westernmost point of the British mainland. That's a total for today of 76 miles of cycling and a couple of ferry rides."
Their ride is to raise funds for the Teenage Cancer Trust through their JustGiving site here.
