I have seen the the shadow of a contrail projected onto clouds below the 'plane, but this is new. Has anyone seen anything like it before, and can anyone explain it?

I have seen the the shadow of a contrail projected onto clouds below the 'plane, but this is new. Has anyone seen anything like it before, and can anyone explain it?

I think it's an optical illusion. Seems that when you place a pen over the split the colours / tones are actually the same either side.
