Ardnamurchan Landscapes

One of the pleasures of keeping this Kilchoan Diary is when I am approached by talented people who asks me to post some examples of their work.  This is the case with central belt landscape photographer, Andy MacDougall, who recently based himself in Kilchoan for a few days. Andy is a frequent visitor to Highland locations but this was his first trip to Ardnamurchan.

Andy writes, "The trip to Kilchoan was fantastic, travelling through Glencoe, Glenfinnan and the beautiful countryside all along the A830, and I was even rewarded with fantastic weather once I reached the village.

"Rising early and driving to the best locations at 5am each morning and returning to them in the evening for dusk, produced some wonderful light that has provided a portfolio of images. After a great few days of photography, dodging stags, and soaking up the deafening peace and quiet of West Ardnamurchan, returning to the grey weather and concrete bustle of the Glasgow to Edinburgh commute has somehow NOT inspired such eagerness to get up quite so early…"

Many thanks to Andy for allowing the Diary to post his pictures.
