New Housing Estate Shocks Ormsaigbeg Residents

The speed of appearance of new houses in an Ormsaigbeg field, none of which have planning permission, has shocked local residents. One anxious neighbour commented, "There's a new one going up every other week. They're of a cheap, wooden construction, the standard of design is pretty abysmal, and they're just plonked anywhere. The man who's erecting them seems to be catering for the mass-market: many of them have five or more occupants. We didn't mind when the first ones appeared but... Well, it's getting a bit out of control!"

When asked to comment, Planning Officials in Fort William said, "We know nothing about this development. We'll send someone out in the next couple of weeks to have a look."
