Is this our first definite view of the Eurofighter Typhoon? We've seen fleeting glimpses of something that might have been one, but this looks like the business. It came low over the Sound of Mull towards us, then put its nose up and went heavenwards. Impressive.
Shortly afterwards, two of these came across the Sound, as if following the Typhoon - tentatively identified as American F15s.There's been plenty of air activity around here recently. We think the fine weather brings them out.
When we walked near Bourblaige at the beginning of the month it felt like we were their target practice as they kept coming passed and then whizzing off in the direction of Mull. Not the typhoon but my photo matches your F15 - no idea what planes they were just very loud!
