In Ormsaigbeg Today

Walking down to the shop at lunchtime and glancing up at the ridge behind the township, The Diary saw this hooded crow chase off an eagle, climbing above it before dive bombing it several times, passing close enough to almost hit it. The eagle landed on a rock just below the ridge-line and sat for some time while the crow, by now joined by its mate, continued to buzz around the eagle's head.

True to his word, Mr MacLachlan has moved some new residents into Ormsaigbeg, but he said they were 'piglets'. These aren't 'piglets', they're the size of hippopotamuses - and there are seven of them!
