Ewan Miles, who was on Mull at the time, managed to get this picture of the aurora in the early hours of the 9th October, looking across to Ardnamurchan. To the right are the lights of Pier Road, and the Plough constellation is clearly visible at top left.
The Diary is now hard at work with the instruction manual of the new camera trying to work out how Ewan does it.
