Nurses - Report on Last Night's Public Meeting

    The suggestion is that our emergency service be provided by first responders recruited from ex-nurses and retired practitioners in the area if possible
    As the only retired practitioner at the far end of the peninsula in permanent residence aged 86 I would be more likely to be a last responder
    Both ex Doctors and Nurses are now no longer registered or insured to practice and with rapidly advancing treatment many are past sell by date
    In view of the geography of our area the time taken for patients to be seen by a competent person is already at its limit and the suggestions for the future are inadequate and could well result in tragedy
    not to mention financial loss due to subsequent litigation
    An injection of common sense is required
