Jupiter's Moons

Many thanks to the Raptor for this brilliant photo of Jupiter and three of its moons, taken in wonderfully clear conditions last night - though it must have been cold, as the temperature here in Ormsaigbeg, the warmer end of Kilchoan, was -1C at 10.00pm.

Sadly, as predicted, it started raining later in the evening, and we had 16mm by 8.00am this morning.

Many thanks to the Raptor for the picture.

  1. It might be just camera flare, but I think you got all four of the big moons. What a wonderful picture!

  2. Thanks for that, but the camera and all its magic gadgetry done the work I just pressed the button, but yes you can just see the moon nearest the the planet, if id used a filter i may have got it a bit clearer.
