The sun came out yesterday, and stayed out all day. We enjoyed soaring temperatures and gentle breezes. Smeared with factor 50 sun cream, wearing sunglasses and the sun hats we reserve for our African journeys, we ventured outside.
The brambles were in full flower by Trevor Potts' camp site.
Knapweed bordered the lane down to the shop.
The Diary, not being very good on botany, identified this as one of the sow-thistles, in full boom on a bank by Craigard croft.
And there's plenty of sweet clover in full flower in the fields.
November: high summer.
