Winter Lightning

Winter lightning, accompanied by thunder, is far more common here than summer lightning, and often accompanies hailstorms coming in from the sea. It happens suddenly and unexpectedly, and we dread it as it takes out routers, Sky digiboxes, and anything else connected to the telephone lines.
