Kilchoan Clean-Up - an Early Start

Proving once again that it is never too early, or too late, to participate in the Kilchoan Clean Up, Alasdair Thornton from Cruachan Croft and his friend Chris Masterton spent a couple of hours yesterday afternoon collecting a variety of flotsam and jetsam from the Ormsaigbeg shoreline in advance on the main event - from 11.00 till 13.00 on Sunday 3rd April.

Alasdair isn’t available on 3rd April but was keen to contribute to this worthwhile effort.

He has fond memories of his grandfather Duncan Campbell asking him, aged about 5, to retrace his steps from Cruachan down to the Ferry Stores to recover the 2 inch piece of paper from his packet of Rolos that he had dropped inadvertently. Grandad didn’t like litter and made sure that all his grandchildren didn’t contribute to the problem.

Many thanks to Alasdair for report & photo.
