Luck

This was dawn this morning at just before seven, looking almost east across Kilchoan Bay into the mouth of Loch Sunart. The colour lasted only a few minutes before fading to grey, so seeing it was a matter of luck.

But our luck wasn't in last night: we didn't see the spectacular aurora display that lit the skies over much of Britain between 6pm and midnight - see the AuroraWatch Flickr pictures here.

  1. Yes. It almost made up for missing the aurora.
    What words cannot capture is the sublime peace of standing in front of such overwhelming colour.
