A Walk at Glenborrodale

The Raptor has been out and about with his camera around the new distillery at Glenbeg - this time with the settings on what he describes as 'dynamic monochrome'. He writes, "It was a good walk in a brisk easterly breeze but towards the end of the walk the sun came out and gave the day a nice warm feel."

His walk took him from the distillery up onto the hills behind it and back down the forestry track to Glenborrodale Castle, coming onto the road at Dale Cottage.

Tucked up behind the castle is Ardnamurchan Estate's wood chip operation which now provides fuel for heating many of the Ardnamurchan Estate houses, as well as Glenborrodale Castle, Mingary Castle, and the Kilchoan Hotel.

The Raptor doesn't go anywhere without some of his namesakes putting in an appearance. He writes, "I had a good sighting of a pair of sea eagles that passed me from behind then came to settle on the tree tops, to take in the sun no doubt....

"....before moving off again."

Many thanks to the Raptor for pictures & story.
