The Archaeologists Return

The Ardnamurchan Transitions archaeological team, who found the Viking boat burial, are completing their plans for the 2012 season.  Here are three dates for your diaries:

Thursday 9th August, 8.00pm: a talk in Kilchoan Community Centre entitled 'The Ardnamurchan Viking and other discoveries: recent finds from Swordle Bay'.  Speakers include Oliver Harris of the University of Leicester, Helena Gray from CFA Archaeology Ltd, and Phil Richardson from Archaeology Scotland.

Sunday 12th August: Open Day at Swordle.

Sunday 19th August: Open Day at Swordle.

Events are free, and everyone is very welcome.

    Open Day times are 10.30am to 3.30pm. Go to Swordle Farm - there will be signposts to show you where to park.
