A Waking Nightmare

Hughie MacLachlan phoned, bright and early this morning. "Good news," he says, "She's had them."

"Them?"

"Ten. Yesterday. They're in the barn. You can go and take a picture if you like."

This is the ten that are going to come and live next door to us, lowering the tone of Ormsaigbeg. It was bad enough last time, when they were just down the road. Imagine this lot escaping and getting in to our garden.

It's like waking up to a nightmare.

  2. I'm a dopey Englishman, trying to suss out the Scottish sense of humour - do you *really* hate the pigs as much as you make out, or do you actually have a soft spot for them?

    1. He really has a soft spot for them if he didn't he wouldn't write about them so much, i bet he can't wait to see them everyday eyeing up his garden.
