SD Victoria off Ardnamurchan

It's a beautiful spring morning here on West Ardnamurchan so, as you would expect, our local fishermen were out early checking their creels and finding that other ships are already out there. These pictures come from Kilchoan Early Bird, who was fishing off Glen More this morning.

SD Victoria is part of the Serco Marine Services fleet, which is a private company which does the job the Royal Maritime Auxiliary Service, a government agency, used to do. Built in Romania and completed in May 2010, she's designed to give the Royal Navy world-wide support.

She's in these waters because there's a major Coalition exercise taking place off the west coast of Scotland at the moment. There's more about her here.
