Today's Pictures

The pigs are settling into their new home further away down Ormsaigbeg. This one was thrilled to find a house with built-in scratch-pole ready for his use.

The bluebells are just beginning to appear. This bank, on Ivor Carmichael's croft, always seems to have one of the best displays.

This beautifully coloured slow worm had had the tip of his tail run over by a passing car. Even though he was only damaged towards the end of his spine, he was having great difficulty in moving across the tarmac. There was little we could do for him except transfer him onto the grass verge with the hope that he recovers.

A lunchtime, a Hercules transport plane flew south along the Sound of Mull, about as low as we've seen.
