An Apology

Google's Blogger, which hosts The Diary, had a problem yesterday which resulted in the site closing down for a time, and, subsequently, two Diary entries which had been posted on 12.05.11 disappearing.

One, Dry Stane Dyking, reappeared late this afternoon when Blogger went back on line, though it had acquired the date 11.05.11. The second is still lost in the blogosphere, but Blogger is promising that 'lost' posts will be restored in due course.

Some recent Comments also no longer show. Again it is to be hoped that they reappear.
