Ormsaigbeg Wildlife

As winter tightens its grip, and the amount of human activity drops off, so the wildlife closes in on us.  Sea eagles fly along the coast of Ormsaigbeg, and a young fox seen on the Ormsaigbeg crofts is taking chickens.  A trail camera set up at the back of our garden has a momentary view of an otter moving along the path beyond the fence, presumably travelling from one of the burns that runs down the brae to another.

  1. Jon, your mention of a young Fox in Ormsaigbeg probably explains the disapearance of 2 dead mice from the back door of Cruachan a couple of weeks back, complete with the mousetrap we caught them with! Alasdair Thornton
