From Jacqui Chapple:
Murphy the cat has been keeping a close eye on proceedings. He supervised the pipes being coiled and laid for the underfloor heating – over 100 metres in total - and then watched as the team poured a gloopy mix of wet concrete onto it.
It was this moment he chose to inspect the work by walking skillfully across the floor, disappearing in the mix up to his armpits (if cats have armpits!). As Murphy is the same colour as the concrete it looked like he might just sink all the way in and never be seen again, but fortunately he (very slowly) made it to the other side, and was last seen running off in the direction of his basket.
Luckily no lasting harm was done to Murphy, or the floor, and some beautiful stone tiles have now been laid over the cement. An air source heat pump will be added to run the underfloor heating and keep the office cosy. Finally, the computers and office equipment will be moved in to what promises to be an energy efficient and very beautiful new office.
