Many thanks to Kilchoan Early Bird for these pictures of the Tobermory RNLI lifeboat assisting a yacht off Bay MacNeil a little earlier this afternoon.
Although the winds have been brisk today, around force 5 or 6, and the sea moderate, it looks as if the yacht has a broken mast.
We saw the lifeboat pass us just after 2pm, so were able to follow the action on the
AIS MT website. The yacht marked in purple on the map is the
Mrs Muir. She may be the casualty, but she may also have gone to assist the casualty.
