From Tony Thain in Achnaha:
Breakfast at The Old Dairy was interrupted by a shrill alarm call from a thrush on sentry duty on the washing line. All the breakfasting sparrows and finches instantly scattered in all directions as....
....a young pine marten strolled from the bushes and proceeded to pose for the camera, which for a change was handy, with the right lens fitted. It seemed to be in no hurry, even though it was about three meters from the kitchen.
Once it had finished with its breakfast and left, the “all clear” was sounded by the thrush and the small birds returned to finish up what had been left.
Many thanks to Tony for pictures & story.
