Yeoman Bridge Collision

The Yeoman Bridge often passes up and down the Sound of Mull on her way to and from the huge aggregate quarry at Glensanda on Morvern. In summer, in particular, it's a difficult passage as there are often leisure and fishing boats to be avoided.

So it was with some sadness that we heard that, on March 30th, she was in collision with another large ship, the crude oil tanker Peary Spirit, in which both ships sustained damage. The incident happened in the Port of Brunsbuttel, Germany. More details here.

Many thanks to Justin Cameron for drawing the story to my attention.
