Otter in a Tide Race

Many thanks to Derryck Morton for this picture, taken during his recent holiday here, showing an otter swimming near Glas Eileann as the incoming tide forms a waterfall between the island and the shore. Derryck describes the force of the waterfall as being so strong it, "roared for a while". Derryck continues, "The rocks here are also particularly good for common seals and cormorants."

In the background, across the Sound of Mull, is Glengorm Castle.
