Kilchoan Clean Up 2016

From Geoffrey Campbell:

Our annual beach blitz was exactly that, swift and successful. Thanks to the efforts of the local gang of litter pickers (plus Trevor Potts who cleaned up the recycling centre and Chris Gane taking the photo) the shore line from the shop to Dorlinn House is looking like it should. In spite of the slightly damp weather (or maybe because of it) we completed the task in just under 90 minutes leaving plenty of time for a relaxing drink in the pub. The general feeling was that the amount of litter is reducing. Let’s hope the trend continues.

Also many thanks to Alasdair Thornton and his crew who gave us a head start, and thanks to Kilchoan Hotel for very welcome soup and roll.

Last but not least, thanks to Davey for the use of the litter trailer and Alayne for getting it ready and taking it off to the dump.

Many thanks to Geoffrey for the report.
